  • Like every human experience, happiness is the key experience to initiate all inspirations. I just had one of those happy days so I came home and wrote about how I don’t want to sleep and forget about this feeling. The track is produced by Prince Christian from Danforth location, he also played bass and keys. Everything is recorded, mixed and mastered in Ableton live and the interface was UAD Apollo twin. Instruments – PRS SE Silver Sky, Fender Player Strat, Fender Hot Rod Deville 212, Fender Squier Tele, Fender Blues JR, Fender Squier PJ bass, Roland Fantom. Mics – SM57, Warm audio WA-251 with Golden age PRE-73 Jr

  • Instrumental rock/fusion influenced by the likes of Allan Holdsworth, Vangelis, and Joe Satriani. I tackled all of the composition, guitars, and synthesizers on this track. Matt MacLennan, who also works at the Halifax store, is on fretless bass, and Andrew Wiseman is on drums and mixes. For gear I used my 2017 Gibson SG Standard into an Xotic BB Preamp into a Traynor Ironhorse head, through a reactive load box, into Two Notes impulse responses. I then ran a Great River ME-1NV on an insert to complete the tone. Clean guitars are an Eric Johnson Strat through a Digitech Whammy V on the 5th up harmony setting into an old Yamaha Magicstomp stereo with volume swells. Synthesizers are all Arturia and Native Instruments. To complete to track, I got a great master done by none other than John Cuniberti – known for producing Surfing with the Alien, Flying in a Blue Dream, and and many other Joe Satriani albums. This is part of a full album, also called Voyages, that is coming out on April 11, 2023.

  • I’m a singer/songwriter whose second instrument is rhythm guitar and I’m a convincing fake on every other instrument to non-musicians. This song is some DADGAD thing I wrote to win someone over and later used to get a better understanding of Garage Band. I recorded it using a Blue Spark and an ART USBMix, an MPKmini and an assortment of guitars. It’s ok. I’d change things if I had the patience or time. The writing is fine.

  • I play guitar and bass, have been in a few bands since being a founding member of a band called Gem in the 70s. Currently not in a band and do some home recording, and when necessary record at my good friend Juan Carlos Coronado’s studio. On this re-recording of Alter Ego I used my 1988 Floral Jem for rhythm guitars and my 2013 Les Paul Traditional for the lead guitar track. Juan played the drum track fantastically!!!
