  • I wrote this after the tragedy in France Bastille Day in 2016 and then later, this song was included in a live album that was recorded in front of a live audience. A very cool L&M connection here as it was recorded by Norm Thornton (my better half and our District Manager) and also features Rob Somerville on trombone (L&M Burlington) and Steve McDade on trumpet and fluglehorn (L&M Burlington) Steve plays a beautiful fluglehorn solo on this song.

  • I am a 23 year old jazz guitarist from Toronto Canada. I have shared stages with some of Canada’s top musicians including; Jackie Richardson, Kelly Jefferson, Ernesto Cervini & Mike Cado. I play most of the major jazz clubs in Toronto and have been fortunate enough to tour North America with various groups. I studied jazz performance at York University and now I sell acoustic guitars at L&M’s Bloor location. When I am not working, I am gigging, practicing or jamming. I released an EP in May 2019 which has since earned me international praise & radio play!  Laila Biali (Host of CBC’s Saturday Night Jazz) says; “At (age) twenty-three David Cruz is a wonderfully dynamic player.” Stuart Kremsky (Producer for Dexter Gordon, Bill Evans, Barney Kessel and more) says; “Spend half an hour with David Cruz’s EP and you’ll experience some enjoyable guitar – based jazz.
