  • Darkwave/post-punk two-piece from greater Vancouver called Ringfinger. I sing, play guitar, synths, and program. My bandmate Hannah Dow-Kenny plays bass, synth, and sings backing. FFO The Cure, Depeche Mode, Clan of Xymox, Lycia, Cocteau Twins, Drab Majesty, She Past Away etc. Track is recorded by me, mixed and mastered by LW35’s own Josh Akow, has an accompanying music video directed by LW35’s own shipper Marcel LaFonde, and assisted on the video by (once again) LW35’s own Jesse Cramer and LW35 alumnus Kris Pittet. • I am a drummer and composer and I work in Accounts at the Halifax store. Previously, I taught drums at the Oshawa, ON location. I recorded this track with a Steinberg UR 44 and Apex mics. I recorded my Practice kit with a Zoom H4 and cut out a sample of a decent groove to use. I played my Yamaha Bass, Squire Strat, and Novation X Station Synth directly in with some of the standard Reaper plugins. I also played a Value Village Guiro, Gon Bops and Mountain Rhythm Congas, and some Dollar store Squeaking Pig toys. My new project is called “Nomad Homestead” and all my social media can be found through the website link. Thanks for Listening!

  • After playing bass guitar with “The Boogie Brothers”, and later with offshoot band “The Joe Fess Boogie Band” for several years in NB, Mark decided to stop gigging in favor of working on original compositions in his home (basement) studio. As well as playing bass and guitar parts and doing vocals, he programs/plays drum and keyboard parts using a vintage Korg M1 synth and Microkorg. Tracks were recorded using various microphones, a Joe Meek ThreeQ, ART Tube MP, Allen & Heath Zed 10FX, ART SCL2 compressor-limiter and a Boss BR80. Finishing touches were added using Audacity running on a Windows OS.
