Mike Maillet – Let U Go (f. Kelslug)

Mike has playing music for 30 years. He is a self taught musician who has always made music a priority in his life. He has been teaching music for 20 years and is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, sound designer and music producer and engineer. In his early musical life, he sang with Shania Twain, and toured with a band during high school. After high school, he moved to Toronto to play with a band under the Sony Coalition label with Arnold & Eric Lanni. He soon realized that he didn’t know enough about music to warrant that kind of life therefore he returned home to Moncton to study on his own. Soon enough, falling into a teaching career and pushing his limits. He started playing Jazz Fusion with local musicians and eventually started his own Jazz Fusion Ensemble called « Micheal Maillet Ensemble ». Always passionate about sound in general, he began studying sound engineering and sound design. These days he enjoys his time in his home studio working with all sorts of different artists. His electronic music is under the alias of « SineOut ».

Dan Coniglio – You and I

I make music under the pseudonym Drabbit and this is my take on Stevie Wonder’s song « You and I ». It’s licenced for digital distribution and available for download and streaming on all major services, just search “Drabbit You and I”. The vocal was performed by Mike Ferfolia. The treatment of this track is heavily influenced and inspired by the artist deadmau5 and his more introspective, cinematic, beat-less music. I recreated Stevie’s T.O.N.T.O. synth parts as best I could on my Moog Music Inc. Sub 37. I used NATIVE INSTRUMENTS Kontact for the string sounds, Xfer’s Serum Synth for the bass parts, and The Dave Smith OB6 for the arpeggios.

Clay Francis – Oblivious

I make beep boop sounds with modular synths, a drone synth I built a few years ago that sometimes works, and an OP-1. Sometimes I run these through bass effect pedals. All songs are live recorded and improvised, with minimal EQ or post processing in DAW – the goal being to just be using the computer as a tape machine that can upload things to the internet. The project is called ‘TORSO’.

Alexandre Popravko – Poltergeist Facepalm

An eclectic amalgamation of electro-psy-funk-DnB-disco-trance-metal, « Alyag » is the self-produced sonic brainchild of multi-instrumentalist and longtime tune-tinkerer Alexandre Popravko. Eccentrically experimentative, Alexandre strives to draw upon his extensive palette of musical influences (ranging from Scandinavian melodeath metal, to psytrance, drum n’ bass, glitch hop, neuro funk, IDM, ambient, synthwave, and more), and explore the favorite elements of each that make him groove and wiggle his boot, as it were. From melodic and heavy to dainty and light-hearted, each resulting track is a uniquely flowing fusion of varied genres and styles that converge together into a dynamically evolving soundscape journey, sparking the listener’s imagination and encouraging them to formulate their own tale to the tune.
