Bruce Lagace – Even the Trees – This Ends Now (Bass Lee Remix)

Figured I’d share this one here, since there are two L&M employees involved.

I remixed an Even the Trees track, they’re a Post-Hardcore band, and Nikolas Ilic from the Brampton location is the guitar player in the band. It is a bit more progressive than a typical EDM track, as I wanted to keep the original song’s integrity intact.

If you make any sort of EDM, please share! I’d love to hear from you.

Mike Maillet – Let U Go (f. Kelslug)

Mike has playing music for 30 years. He is a self taught musician who has always made music a priority in his life. He has been teaching music for 20 years and is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, sound designer and music producer and engineer. In his early musical life, he sang with Shania Twain, and toured with a band during high school. After high school, he moved to Toronto to play with a band under the Sony Coalition label with Arnold & Eric Lanni. He soon realized that he didn’t know enough about music to warrant that kind of life therefore he returned home to Moncton to study on his own. Soon enough, falling into a teaching career and pushing his limits. He started playing Jazz Fusion with local musicians and eventually started his own Jazz Fusion Ensemble called « Micheal Maillet Ensemble ». Always passionate about sound in general, he began studying sound engineering and sound design. These days he enjoys his time in his home studio working with all sorts of different artists. His electronic music is under the alias of « SineOut ».

Alannah Clark – Shelter

Alannah has performed widely in the Comox Valley and other Vancouver Island communities as well as the lower mainland. In spring 2018 she toured the UK and Europe with fellow Comox Valley singer songwriter, Joey Clarkson. Alannah performs with Valley based musicians, Jesse McCloy (lead guitar), Jacob Gregory (bass) and Jonathan Hinds (drums/percussion). She is an advocate for mental health/raising awareness for mental illness, and her songwriting strongly reflects that. Her debut EP (« Dear June ») was released in November 2017, at Aurora Music Studios.

« Shelter » was written by Alannah, and was recorded/produced at Aurora Music Studios (www.auroramusicstudios.com) in Comox, British Columbia with Jacob Gregory. We used the Aston Origin, Stealth and the ART Pro Channel, amongst other Yorkville products, and recorded with Logic.

Lead vocals/rhythm guitar: Alannah Clark
Lead guitar: Jesse McCloy (guitar teacher at LW73)
Bass/harmonies: Jacob Gregory (drum teacher at LW73)

Dan Coniglio – You and I

I make music under the pseudonym Drabbit and this is my take on Stevie Wonder’s song « You and I ». It’s licenced for digital distribution and available for download and streaming on all major services, just search “Drabbit You and I”. The vocal was performed by Mike Ferfolia. The treatment of this track is heavily influenced and inspired by the artist deadmau5 and his more introspective, cinematic, beat-less music. I recreated Stevie’s T.O.N.T.O. synth parts as best I could on my Moog Music Inc. Sub 37. I used NATIVE INSTRUMENTS Kontact for the string sounds, Xfer’s Serum Synth for the bass parts, and The Dave Smith OB6 for the arpeggios.

Scott Davidson – YATTA

A fun ‘modern 80’s’, math rock instrumental song I made using the Eventide H9, my beloved Telecaster and an 8 string in lieu of a bass. It’s the first single off my band’s first album set to come out very soon. I like to experiment with lots of different genres and this song is a great example of that. I don’t think you’ve heard anything quite like it.”

Simple ballad / love song. I’m NOT a keyboard player so programming the piano on this one, WAS HARD.
